The Indian two-wheeler market experienced a dynamic June 2025, marked by both impressive year-on-year (YoY) growth for some models and notable declines for others. While the overall sales for the top 10 models saw a marginal dip, key trends indicate a shifting landscape with strong momentum in specific segments.

Hero Splendor Remains Undisputed Leader

Continuing its long-standing dominance, the Hero Splendor secured the top position in June 2025, selling a robust 331,057 units. This represents a healthy 8.34% YoY growth compared to June 2024, solidifying its stronghold in the commuter motorcycle segment.

Scooter Segment Sees Shifting Fortunes

The scooter market presented a mixed picture. The Honda Activa, typically a strong contender, saw a significant 21.47% decline, with sales dropping to 183,265 units from 233,376 units last year. This suggests increasing competition and evolving consumer preferences in the scooter category. In contrast, the TVS Jupiter emerged as a standout performer, climbing to fourth position with sales of 107,980 units, marking a remarkable 49.76% YoY growth. This strong performance indicates a growing preference for TVS's scooter offerings. The Suzuki Access remained relatively stable, with a marginal 1.22% decline, selling 51,555 units.

Motorcycle Segment: Mixed Results

Beyond the top two, the motorcycle segment showed varied performances:

♦ The Honda Shine registered 134,817 units, a slight 3.42% decrease from its June 2024 figures, placing it in third.

♦ The Hero HF Deluxe secured fifth place, demonstrating strong growth of 12.16% with 100,878 units sold.

♦ Bajaj Pulsar experienced a notable 20.39% decline, selling 88,452 units, which positioned it at seventh place.

♦ The TVS Apache series showcased positive momentum, climbing to eighth position with 41,386 units and an 11.37% YoY growth.

♦ The Royal Enfield Classic 350 continued its strong run in the premium segment, registering a healthy 17.61% growth with 29,172 units, rounding off the top 10.

Overall Market Snapshot

Collectively, the top 10 best-selling two-wheelers accounted for 1,101,911 units in June 2025, a marginal 0.39% decline compared to 1,106,245 units in the same month last year. Despite facing certain headwinds, the overall two-wheeler segment remains robust, with particular momentum observed in the scooter and premium motorcycle categories. The shifting dynamics underscore the ongoing evolution of consumer preferences and the competitive strategies employed by manufacturers in this vital market.
